Vineyard Office Building
A modern interpretation of barn architecture, this office building was designed for a vineyard in Northern California. Drawing inspiration from the region's agricultural roots and utilitarian structures, the design reimagines the traditional barn typology with contemporary precision and restraint. The client, a family-run winery, wanted a building that honored the working history of the land while offering a refined and welcoming space for their team and guests.
The exterior form reflects classic barn proportions, with a simple gabled roof and corrugated metal siding that nods to the surrounding rural vernacular. Inside, the plan opens to bright, daylit workspaces that frame long views across the vineyard, connecting daily operations to the rhythms of the landscape. Concrete floors, steel detailing, and clean millwork contribute to a restrained palette that emphasizes durability and clarity.
While the building's form is rooted in the familiar, the spatial organization and material execution reflect a crisp, contemporary ethos — balancing the legacy of place with the forward-thinking identity of the winery.
